STONE ROOF CONSERVATION BEST PRACTICE - ADVANCED NOTICE
The English Heritage stone roof working group is writing a best practice guide for stone roofing. It covers conservation planning and practical details. The planning sections based on current Principle Planning Guides (PPG) will be posted here shortly as a draft for development and we invite you to send you comments to Terry. The practical guidance will follow shortly afterwards. Much of building conservation planning guidance is based on interpretation and case law so we need to know if you think we've got it right.
The Government is currently reviewing the official guides PPG15 & 16. When this process is complete this development draft will be up-dated.
