Figure 60 Ashleworth Tithe barn. Probably as the result of successive renewals, this roof was a mixture of red and grey-green micaceous sandstones of Devonian age and Forest Marble, probably from the Cotswold Hills. The source of the sandstones could have been Dymock or the Forest of Dean. (Terry Hughes). |
